I made an account here about four or five years ago, and I stuck around for a year or two after that. Not quite sure what caused me to initially lose interest, but lately I've been a bit nostalgic about roleplaying. I miss it, you know? There's something utterly satisfying about creating that perfect dynamic between your character and those of complete strangers, about becoming a part of a whole, shaping an entire world to your own liking with peers just as passionate... It makes Microsoft Word seem awfully lonely.

Well, writing has been difficult for me over the past few years. Something like chronic writer's block. I've been taking baby-steps, nevertheless, and what better prompt than the collective minds of fellow enthusiasts? I really hope to find my niche, this time around. What's ultimately brought me back, actually, is a recent interest in fantasy. I've been fueled by Lord of the Rings, as of late. And those types of stories just really make you want to be a part of such a world, yeah? Or maybe it's just me.

So, things are certainly... different, since I've last visited. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it all over again. I feel a bit like an outsider as of now, but I'll be fine once I familiarize myself with the community and the flow of things. Then I should be comfortable. Hopefully.
